INTERNATIONAL VISEGRAD COOPERATION

THE PROJECT AND THE COOPERATION

We aim to build a long-term co-operation between jugglers to summarise and share opinions, results, skills and knowledge and first of all make friends. Playing together is very important, just as international discussion and intercultural learning: the opportunity to bring the young people of 10-15 countries together within this program.

Thank you for the International Visegrad Fund, in this year we can invite juggler from countries: Poland, Czech and Slovakia, remembering the historical Visegradian co-operation between these countries.

Because of this help we can offer free entrance ticket, accomodation, breakfast at the 2. Budapest Convention.

You need to be registered at our website and to have a confirmation letter (ask it by e-mail:)!

We offer our website to make easier to arrive to the Convention. You can find help to “share a ride” and a forum if you have any practical question!

Hobby jugglers and performers are both welcome to the program!

YOU CAN add to the program in various ways:

as performers

• at the Fire show (if you juggle or spin with fire)
• at the free street performances, improvisations will be presented in a

crowded location of the city

• at the Galashow of the Juggling Convention with your juggling- magic-, acrobatic rutin
• at the Open stage if you have anything to show 

as audience

• at the seminar
• at the workshops

Program

• 22-23th September: arrivals of partecipants: common cultural and social programs: having fun
• 24-26th September : 2. Budapest Juggling Convention
• 27th september- : juggling – cultural programs in countryside in Hungary

The program builds up from several units. Some of these meet the demand for a vocational session, others create a possibility to meet and get to know each other, practice and demonstrate our skills and create an atmosphere of festivity.

Practice space

The base of the vocational program open 24 hours a day. The scene of constant skillshare, practice and workshops. There will be about 10-15 45-90 min. open workshops every day for all levels from beginner to professional. (A few examples: juggling 3-4-5 balls, devil stick, clubs, poi, diabolo and passing sessions)

• Location: Millenaris park, Reception building

Open stage

This will be the place where new productions and productions still in the phase of elaboration will be presented. Anybody can perform, who feels has something to show to the audience. The show will be taken as a vocational program.

• Time: 00.30.h. 24. Friday, Sept.

Gala-show

This program is different from the above listed performances. The Gala-show consists of short pieces of 6-8 minutes, presented by a compere. Although performers may have characters acted out and costumes may be worn.

• Time: 20.00 h. 25. Saturday

Welcome Fire show

Located around the artificial lakes of Millenaris, the flame will move between four locations representing all different types of props. There will be a grand final: all the jugglers lighting their props together, followed by fireworks.

• Time: 20.30, 24. Sept.

Jugglers’ Olympics

There will be competitions in handstands, targeting with diabolo, passing clubs furthest apart, etc…
